Nasolabial folds with hyaluronic acid filler
Nasolabial folds — the lines from the nostrils to the corners of the mouth — are often the first deep lines that make the face look older. At the Kuzbari Centre we gently fill them with hyaluronic acid fillers and give your face back its fresh, smooth radiance.

How does the treatment work?
-
01
Consultation appointment
A thorough consultation always takes place here before the treatment. Our experienced doctors take the time to understand your wishes and to carry out a detailed analysis of your features. In doing so we determine the optimal injection points and the amount of hyaluronic acid needed to achieve a harmonious, natural result. Our aim is to smooth the nasolabial folds without your face losing any expressiveness.

How the treatment proceeds
approx. 30 min
The treatment itself generally takes only 20 to 30 minutes and is virtually painless. Using the finest needles or cannulas, the hyaluronic acid filler is injected precisely into the nasolabial folds in order to fill them gently and restore lost volume. Hyaluronic acid binds water and immediately gives the skin a visibly plumper appearance. After the treatment you can go straight back to your usual activities — with no downtime at all.
-
03
Your result
The result is visible immediately after the treatment: the nasolabial folds look smoother, the face altogether fresher and more youthful. Because the filling with hyaluronic acid is natural, your facial expression is preserved while your face is harmoniously rejuvenated. The effect generally lasts 6 months, after which the treatment can be repeated if desired to maintain the result in the long term.

The most frequent questions
Why do nasolabial folds deepen over the years?
Less because of the fold itself than because the fat tissue of the cheek descends over the years. The skin then settles over the nasolabial fold — it looks deeper although nothing has changed there itself.
Is the fold injected directly?
Often not. We usually achieve the more beautiful result by replacing the lost volume at the cheek and thereby relieving the fold. Only in pronounced cases do we also treat the fold itself.
Does Botox help against nasolabial folds?
No, hyaluronic acid is the right agent here. Botox relaxes muscles and therefore works on expression lines in the upper third of the face — the nasolabial fold, by contrast, arises from volume loss.
How much material do I need?
That depends greatly on the starting point. One millilitre for both sides is often enough; with marked volume loss, more. We tell you honestly in advance what is needed — and what is not.
Is the treatment painful?
Hardly. Our hyaluronic fillers already contain a local anaesthetic, and we work with particularly fine, tissue-friendly cannulas. On request we also apply a numbing cream beforehand.
How long does the treatment take?
About 30 minutes including consultation, analysis and follow-up discussion. The injection itself takes only a few minutes.
When will I see the result?
Immediately. Hyaluronic acid replaces missing volume at once — you see the result in the mirror while still at our practice. There may be slight swelling in the first few days; the final result appears after about two weeks.
How long does the result last?
Between nine and eighteen months, depending on the area and the product. The hyaluronic acid is broken down by the body slowly and completely — nothing remains.
Will the result look natural?
Yes, because we deliberately dose conservatively. We would rather use slightly less at the first appointment and top up after two weeks than inject too much once. A result that looks like you is our standard.
Are there side effects?
Slight swelling, redness or small bruises at the injection sites are possible and subside within a few days. Serious complications are extremely rare when the treatment is carried out by a specialist doctor. We explain all the risks to you beforehand.
What do I need to bear in mind afterwards?
On the day of treatment avoid sport, sauna and solarium, and do not massage the treated areas. Cooling is fine — it eases swelling. From the next day everything is back to normal.
Can the result be reversed?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved again within minutes using the enzyme hyaluronidase. That is one of the great safety advantages over permanent filling materials.
Am I presentable again straight away?
In most cases yes. Because slight swelling is possible, many patients prefer to schedule the appointment one or two days before an important occasion.
What does the treatment cost?
We charge per millilitre of hyaluronic acid — consultation, treatment and material are always included, and there are no hidden extras. How much material you need is something we discuss honestly at the introductory consultation. You will find current prices on our prices page.
Which products do you use?
Exclusively clinically tested, cross-linked hyaluronic fillers from renowned manufacturers, applied millions of times worldwide. A new, sealed syringe is opened for every patient.
Who performs the treatment?
Exclusively specialist doctors in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery or in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery — no beauticians and no assistants.
